Nevermore: The Ballad of Varen and Isobel: by Jamie

What first began as his escape

To a world of his own

Became a snare for both of them

In the pages of a tome

For Varen is lost from the world

And the one that he holds dear

But he knows that she will come back

To the lonely world of Weir

Isobel, you must save the one you love

For you must make things right

Isobel, you must uphold your promise

For you he waits each night

By his side, the lady in white

Wants him for herself to keep

But it’s only his Isobel

In his heart so very deep

The world forgets, and lets go

But Isobel won’t give up

She knows he waits, lost in that world

Okay, so some of you know I like to doodle a bit myself. One of my favorite things to do is draw my characters!  Here are some sketches from the past.

You know what else I like to do with my Nevermore sketches? I love to doodle them on the title page of give-away copies for contests.

Oh and LOOK-IT what else!! 

 Paperbacks are in!

Aren’t they lovely?? To celebrate, let’s do another contest. How about you send me a LINK to a drawing by YOU of your favorite character from Nevermore and I will draw that same character for YOU inside a brand new paperback copy of Nevermore. (I will also, of course, sign and personalize if you like.) In addition, I’ll throw in some other goodies as well, like signed bookmarks and a Varen purple pen!

If drawing isn’t your thing, you can also enter photographs or computer generated images, poems or songs. As long as the artwork is original, yours COMPLETELY and features a character (or characters) from Nevermore, it qualifies!

If you’d like to enter, please be sure to send a link to your drawing or art piece (not attaching the drawing/work/photo itself) to kellycreagh@kellycreagh.com. 

Facebook or DeviantART are great places to post your artwork. 

Also in your e-mail, you will want to include your full name and mailing address so I’ll know where to send your goodies should you win!

And to top that off, inside the paperback, at the very end, you will find the prologue to Enshadowed! Woot!

Those of you who have already sent me wonderful artwork may enter with the same drawing. You will, however, need to resubmit.

Please make sure the words PAPERBACK CONTEST appear in the subject line of your e-mail submission.

To determine the winner, I will print all entries and hand draw ONE lottery style.

This time, the contest is open to U.S. entries only.

The contest will end at midnight on the 29th of August, the day before the release of Nevermore in paperback.

So get those creative juices flowing!

I will announce the winner on the 30th and post his or her drawing/artwork here on my blog. I will also post as many of the other entries as I can!
